God and Satan

If God is all powerful, and Satan is not, why doesn't God just destroy Satan?

The issue here is not power, it is righteousness. In terms of power the United States is the militarily most powerful nation in the world. It could arbitrarily destroy about whatever opposing nation it wanted to. That act would wipe out the good with the bad, not a righteous thing. God will act against Satan and his army of slaves to sin (unrighteousness) as a matter of righteousness when trial is over, at the end of time. “It is appointed for man once to die and after this comes judgment.” Hebrews 9:27

We know that Nebuchadnezzar was the King of Babylon, which is a type for the King of Babylon in the end times. We learn in Jeremiah that Nebuchadnezzar was God’s servant.

Jeremiah 27 vs 6; Now have I given all these lands in the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

Knowing that Nebuchadnezzar is a type of the king of Babylon to come, I think it would be fair to say the devil works for God to a degree. We know that satan held the highest position in heaven serving God, to protect the mercy seat of Jesus Christ. We can read of this in Ezekiel 28. It was pride that was satans downfall. God sentenced to death in Ezekiel 28 vs 18 and 19.

I do believe satan does fulfills the negative part of God’s overall plan. However I do not believe satan serves God and sends sin into the world at God’s request. Satan knows he is gonna die and wants to take as many souls as he can with him. Its satans way of slapping God in the face so to speak

The battle is not between God and Satan.

Both know how that will turn out.

This battle lies with Mankind.

God has made a way for Mankind to return to him…which does not break God’s Word.

Satan is determined not to allow Mankind to choose this course for Salvation.
